Math Homework
Q. 14 - 17 - Math Duotang

Math Test on Monday (Day 2, first 2 periods) - on all pattern/expression/equations we have been working on so far.

Note: the Math retest for Interest, Principal, Commission, will be at the end of this Algebra unit as I do not want to interrupt the teaching of this unit.

Wahonowin Trip - $150 and permission and medical forms are due tomorrow.

Boomerang Lunch - please remember that we are working toward Platinum Designation 

in our Eco-School certification.

All packaging and waste must go home with you.

Pack what you can eat.

Pack in re-usable containers.

Recycle and compost as much waste as you can when you take your lunch contents home.

Math Homework

This was last weekend's homework that most of you did not complete. I am not stopping/slowing down on  Math for those students who are not completing their homework.

Math retest from last week (will be on Day 5 this week - Thursday).

In Language, we will be working on Inferring and putting yourself in the story. Insure you have your novels with you for every class.

Running club tomorrow morning. I will post on the Running Club blog if it is cancelled due to poor weather.

Hi all
I do not see you tomorrow for Math or Language. We will be starting our Number Sense unit in Math on Wednesday and will be using a combination of our Math text book and the Nelson text book. I've photocopied relevant materials for your duotangs.

Hi all

Math Homework
Q. 1-9 of the Practice Test, p. 176

Please note: Ratios, Percentages and Sales Commissions are, most likely, concepts which you are not familiar with in real life. Sales Commission, PST and GST are not covered in Grade 7 Math. You will need to practice and re-practice the questions that we have covered in class.

Take home your Math text books and review what we have been doing. Math test is on Monday. Do not leave all of your reviewing to Sunday night! Come to class with any questions that you may have.

Chocolate Sales
Quite a few of you owe money for chocolate sales. Please note that tomorrow is the due date for outstanding money. I have spoken with each of you and there should be a note in the agenda for your parents. Please and thank you!

Novels - You have all chosen fabulous novels to read for this term. I think I will be reading a couple of them over the summer! Please remember to bring your novels to class.

A variety of permission forms have gone home for various things! Please ensure that they are returned on time.

Hi all
Math Homework tonight - Review questions 3, 4 and 5. Do questions 6, 7 and 8, p. 168 Math text book.

Math test on Monday (Day 2)

This has not been an easy unit. You are to do the Review and Practice Test between now and Monday. Ensure you know the concepts and come and see me if you are experiencing difficulties. Do NOT leave this to Monday before you tell me you need help. You need to be proactive with your learning.

Language - Bring your novels to class tomorrow.

Phys Ed.
Mr. Church has given you a timetable and schedule for Grade 7 and 8 afterschool sessions.

There will be a Running Club meeting tomorrow, at some point. Please ensure you attend, for those interested. All permission forms are due back on Friday. Running Club starts on Monday.

Pizza lunch forms went home today.

Last week's tests have been handed back.
We are now working on Rates
Homework, Q. 12-14 of handout from the Nelson math book.

Language
Grade 7&8 French Immersion - we have started our novel studies unit. The majority of this will be done in class as I will be providing specific feedback to all students. All work is to be completed in your novel study duotang.

Grade 8 English (my homeroom) - we are in the process of choosing novels. Please come to class with a possible title from either our book selections in school or a novel you would like to read. I would rather you have a partner to work with than be working on a novel independently.

Informational Writing - I'm still waiting. Marks will be deducted. You know who you are!
