Wahanowin

A number of phonecalls have come into the office regarding Wahanowin.

On Monday - regular 8:30 drop off time.  All bags, etc will be dropped off in the Gym. All students go to their homeroom classes for attendance and then the bus is loaded. We leave Clairlea around 9:45 am.  We will be in Wahanowin in time for lunch.

Pick-up on Friday - see the schedule in your package. We are scheduled to leave Wahanowin at 1 pm. We will be back at Clairlea around 2 - 2:30 depending on traffic. Pick up time is around that time or the usual bell time of 3:15. As we are travelling home, we will contact the school to let them know about our expected arrival time.

Packing List - see the list in your package. Please remember that this is an outdoor activity week. Clothes that you choose to bring must allow you to zip line, run, jump, climb, play sports, etc. There is no fashion show. We are not going to New York. This is not Fashion Week.

Sleeping Gear - this is not a 5-star hotel. Sleeping bag, sheet and pillow. Wear pjs. It was 2 degrees, today in Orillia, not factoring in wind chill.

You will meet all weather, warm, cold, sun and rain. Bring appropriate gear to be outside. Bring mittens and a hat for night time bonfires. Bring a bathing suit should the weather be warm enough. Bring your tornado survival gear - you just never know, these days. Sweats, shorts and teeshirts, jackets and jeans, warm woollen socks, jackets - dress in layers ...

Warm and dry feet - bring extra running shoes, water boots if you have them.

Do not bring snacks. Do not bring snacks Do not bring snacks. Wahanowin has TOLD US that due to strict allergy regulations and safeguards, we do not bring food into the facility. Bring money for the tuck shop if you need to have a snack.

The comments section of this blog is open. If you have any concerns, please feel free to comment and I will reply.

Stay Calm and Think Wahanowin.

See you Monday!
